I would grade this banknote as a good very fine or much better with all the details being very well preserved. The note has vertical and horizontal folds and was most probably flattened. It is lightly soiled especially along the central vertical flattened fold and has light stains along the left edge of the front especially at the top and bottom corners. The note has no pinholes, no graffiti, no tears and no splits. Its edges and corners are intact with the corners showing minimum rounding if any. The note has stiffness and crispiness and the colors are vivid with no appreciable fading. A nice and very desirable note with bright colors and nice appearance.     Description:
    A beautiful very fine or much better banknote from Tunisia issued by the Bank of Algeria. This is the October 21, 1941 Twenty Francs or Vingt Francs. The date is shown as 21-10-1941 in the center of the front. This note is a dull purple on light blue under-print. It depicts the portrait of young woman wearing a head dress at the lower right corner on the front. The back has the same coloring and has the image of two children holding a diamond shape having the number 20 in it. There are cactus plants to the left. The note is mostly in French with the denomination spelled out in Arabic on the front. The note also has the over printed word "TUNISIE" in black along the right edge of the front indicating that the note was for use in Tunisia and not Algeria. This particular note has the serial number 88828250 located in the top center with the number 250 in the left bottom corner and top right corner. It is series D.3554 as indicated in the bottom right corner and top left corner of the front. It has two signatures both in French. The banknote has two watermarks, one showing a woman in a head dress and the second shows the denomination in Arabic letters. Please carefully review the scans as they are part and parcel of our description.
