Cylinder YZ250 Top End 1978 Head STANDARD BORE 70 mm BROKEN FINS Ported Polished

This is a 1978 YZ250E cylinder & head. It correctly fits & works on the 1978 & 1979 YZ250 & the 1979 IT250F. Picked this bike up in pieces. And some moron broke off two fins on this standard bore low hour cylinder with some really nice porting. Makes me sick to see vintage parts damaged like this. A hammer with a piece of pine wood used in the intake & exhaust areas would have taken a minute or two longer to break the cylinder loose. All threads are good on the studs as well as the intake bolt hole threads. No weld repairs on the cylinder. Cylinder wall has no catastrophic damage. No grooving. Showing very minimal wear on the cylinder wall. Currently at 70.00 mm standard bore & certainly appears it can be run on this bore with a hone & fresh piston kit. There is lots of moto life left in this cylinder. No damage to the head dome. No bent or broken head fins. Spark plug threads are good. You will be getting all that is pictured. This weighs 15 lbs boxed properly so shipping is gonna be expensive for me. I will be boxing this up with styrofoam on all 6 sides so the shipper can not damage this in transit to you.
